Weather is such a big factor in fishing here. And we are seeing the best weather of the entire summer right now. Calm open ocean seas, and blue skies with light winds. No place I would rather be than Elfin Cove and Cross Sound right now.

This is our second summer owning Eagle Charters. Mary and I very much appreciate you all fishing with us. The staff at Eagle Charters is just doing great, we are seeing a big improvement this year. They are all working together very well. Attitude is great, I could not be happier with them. I feel our crew is what makes the Eagle difference a reality. Yes we have the best fishing and the best boats, but it is the attention to detail and attention to the guests that makes the difference.

Two nights ago Captain Blaine came by the post office bench and sat down. He was in a pretty good mood. Limited on Kings today he said! And Coho! And Halibut! And I get paid to do this! Yes the fishing here is the best but you still have to have the skills to go out and catch them. All of our Captains are doing great, yes there are great days and slow days but fishing in Cross Sound is amazing.

I expect the Coho fishing to really get going here in the next couple weeks. Hopefully the weather will continue.
