What are the fishing regulations?
Fishing regulations for the 2026 season are released in mid-April.
Do we have GAF permits?
We have GAF permits based on availability.
How much do GAF permits cost?
GAF permits will cost $500 in 2026.
When is the best time for King vs Coho Salmon?
King salmon are better in May, June and early July it is possible to catch them later but it is difficult.
Coho/Silver salmon are better in early July through mid-September.
When is the best time for big Halibut?
We catch huge halibut all season long.
What species of fish do we fish for?
We have a large variety of fish in our area.
Salmon: King, Coho/Silver and Pink Salmon are plentiful in our area.
Rock Fish including Black Rock Fish, Duskies, Yelloweyes and other Pelagic and Non Pelagic Rock Fish.
You can also find Halibut and Deep water fish like, Black cod, Shortrakers and other deep demersal rockfish based on weather.
Ling Cod are also plentiful in our area.
Do we have an age restriction for kids?
We do not have an age restriction for kids but we do recommended making sure that your child is able to handle over 8 hours at sea everyday for the duration of your trip.
Do we have wheel chair access?
We have a wheel chair and walker available for use, the crew is readily available to help you get anywhere you need whether it is on or off the boat or down the ramp at low tide.
What are my options for getting my fish home?
Do I need to bring my own cooler?
You do not need to bring your own cooler we package your vacuum sealed and frozen fish into 50lbs airline approved fish boxes that you can either take it with you on the plane or ship it via Alaska Aircargo.
Do the boats have bathrooms?
All of the boats have marine bathrooms.
What should I pack for my clothing? Can I bring my own raingear?
Limiting personal luggage allows for fish to travel home with you as checked luggage. We provide complimentary daily laundry and housekeeping to help you save on baggage fees.

Do you have electric reels?
We have electric reels for use on the boats.
Do you have left handed reels?
We have a variety of left handed reels for the 2026 season.
What time & where do we meet the Catamaran?
An Eagle Charters representative will meet you outside the baggage claim area at the Juneau Airport at 1:30pm on the day of your arrival.
What time does the ferry leave on the day of departure?
The Catamaran departs at 6:30am, you will be back to the Juneau Airport by 11am.
